Beyond the Basics: A Deep Dive into Current Investment Strategies

Colin
Colin Jube
Colin is a Utah native from Provo, and a real estate entrepreneur focused on investing and developing property in the mountain west. Colin graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Economics and began his real estate career as a commercial agent with Windermere. He developed an early focus on small-scale ground-up urban infill projects, and subsequently moved into the modular construction world. For the last five years Colin co-founded and was CEO of Modal Living, a modular construction company primarily building Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in Utah and California. He recently stepped back from that role to focus on ground-up urban infill development.

  • Benefits and limitations of modular construction
  • Lessons learned developing urban infill projects
Luda
Luda Cooke
Before beginning her real estate journey, Luda enjoyed an impressive career inspecting some of the world's largest zip lines across the world. However, her desire to devote more time to her growing family led her to seek a new professional career. By chance, Luda discovered the world of real estate when she and her husband, Jon, decided to convert their original house into a rental property while purchasing a larger home for themselves.

Luda quickly recognized the potential this field held for her future. Harnessing her determination, she successfully transformed the basement of their new home into a short term rental.  She also ventured into acquiring a duplex, expanding their portfolio furthermore. Demonstrating commitment to her newfound path, Luda wasted no time in joining UTAH REIA in January 2023 to broaden her knowledge and forge valuable connections. She also acquired her real estate license and became a Realtor.   She is highly motivated to continue investing and will stop at nothing until her family is financially independent.
