Instead of a 1031 Exchange - Try One of These... (live/virtual)

with... Multiple Speaker(s)

a presentation introducing the benefits of deferred trust sales and cost segregation...

Tuesday, December 8, 2020 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
SLCC, Miller Campus, MFEC #203
9750 South 300 West Sandy, UT 84070

A 1031 Exchange allows you to avoid paying capital gains taxes when you sell an investment property and reinvest the proceeds from the sale within certain time limits in a property or properties of like kind and equal or greater value.  Therefore, this tool frees up more capital to use for investment in the replacement property.
What a deal!

But, what if you can't do a 1031 Exchange?  Are there other options?  YES!!

At the December Networking Luncheon, we will be discussing two alternatives to a 1031 Exchange.  First we will discuss Deferred Trust Sales with Donal Smith, Professional Partner Member for the Estate Planning Team.  Then, we will discuss Cost Segregation with Erik Oliver, Southwest Regional Manager for Cost Segregation Authority.

During Donal's presentation, he will present the following:

  1. This capital gains tool can save you thousands of dollars
  2. How to make a profit on the money you would have paid to Uncle Sam on the year of the sale
  3. When and how payments can be made to the original owner of the property can flexible
  4. How the process starts

During Erik's presentation, he will present the following:

  1. Tax Benefits of Cost Segregation
  2. The impact of the CARES Act on Cost Segregation
  3. How The New Administration May Impact Cost Segregation
