Why Apartments? (11:30am live, 12pm virtual)

with... Tate Siemer

a presentation on why and how to start investing in multi-family properties...

Tuesday, September 14, 2021 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
SLCC, Miller Campus, MFEC #203
9750 South 300 West Sandy, UT 84070

Why have just ONE when you can have TEN, TWENTY, or FIFTY?  Rental incomes that is.

Single family homes can generate good cash flow.  But, why not turn one rental check into many rental checks?  This is why many investors are attracted to multi-family investing.  It's just good money.

But, how do you get started, where do you look, how do you know if what you see is a good deal, what about out-of-state?

In joining the Utah REIA for the September Networking Luncheon, Tate Siemer, Owner/Founder of GreenLight Multi-Family Properties, will be presenting to us, "Why Apartments?"

In this presentation Tate will cover:

  • are apartments “easier” than SFR investing?
  • apartments are the “IDEAL” investment. What does that mean?
  • forced appreciation-the magic bullet
  • what’s a “good deal”? Is Utah a good market for apartments?
  • 5 ways to get into apartment investing

A LITTLE ABOUT TATE:  Tate Siemer is a passionate real estate entrepreneur, creating value and opportunity for investors through innovative multi-family projects. He is committed to developing affordable, eco-friendly housing that enhances both the community and the well-being of its residents. Tate’s real estate background consists largely of sweating it out on single-family flips that yielded modest five-figure profits.  In 2018, Tate and his partner, Carl York, “saw the light”, left single-family flips and began their ventures in multi-family investing by purchasing two new-build, luxury townhome projects in downtown Salt Lake City.  They next flipped a twelve-unit apartment complex, followed by two raw land purchases which they progressed through entitlement to “shovel-ready” building permits.  Tate recently created GreenLight Multi-Family Properties focused on direct-to-owner apartment acquisition and value-added equity generation. GreenLight creates compelling opportunities for investors to participate in both short and long term scenarios with maximum return on minimal risk due to asset ownership.
Tate and his team currently own 320 units in 4 communities in Utah, Oklahoma City, Columbus, OH. With 256 units currently under contract, his goal is to have 1,000 units in OKC and 1,000 units in Columbus by May 2022.
