A Presentation on the BRRRR (Buy-Rehab-Rent-Refinance-and-Repeat) Method

As investors, we have often heard about using the BRRRR method for flipping properties. However, what exactly is this method and how do we use it?

During the Utah REIA December Networking Luncheon, Roger Jacobsen, President of The Grand Staircase, Inc. and Derek Smart, Mortgage Loan Officer with Intercap Lending are going to share their expertise in using this method to help us add this strategy to our toolbox when investing in properties.

Their presentation will include the following:
* How to buy a second home with the least down
* What repairs to consider, and avoid
* How to do it if you can’t do all the parts or have all the money needed
* Mistakes to avoid
* Is 85% LTV possible for you?
* What are some typical numbers?

MORE ABOUT ROGER: Roger bought his first home with a partner when he was 22. After realizing how much all the construction expenses were he did: Concrete, became an Ironworker, Finish Carpenter and the a General Contractor. He has worked on homes from Magna to the top of Deer Valley for Billionaires. He is currently a Realtor, Investor, Landlord and Developer.
Roger has 3 boys: Jonathan (18 years old), Zachary (16 years old) and Benjamin (12 years old)
When he’s not selling Real Estate he likes Motorcycles, Dirt Bikes, Mountain and Road Biking and many other Outdoor Activities. He’s learning Spanish, Guitar and many other things.

MORE ABOUT DEREK: Derek is fortunate to have been involved with real estate from the day he was born.
From the time of his childhood, his family has been farming raw ground, holding the land while it increases in value, and developing it into its highest and best use.
Although he enjoyed rising early to work with his hands on machinery and livestock, he chose to pursue a university education and received scholarships from both Snow College and Utah State University.
While finishing his business degree at Utah State, he read the book “Rich Dad Poor Dad” and became more excited about real estate and investing personally. This helped him realize the importance of cash flow, owning assets, and tax planning which led him and his wife to purchase investment properties.
Derek enjoys helping others through real estate financing as a mortgage loan officer with Intercap Lending.
